Service Description

A clothing rental service for travelers visiting Japan. Customers select clothing through our website, which is delivered to their designated hotel for use during their trip (from check-in to check-out date), then returned after use. AI-powered outfit coordination suggestions are also available. You can also purchase items you like during the rental period (Buyout Option).

Service Period

The rental period from the check-in date to the check-out date specified by the customer. Items are generally delivered to the hotel by the day before check-in.

Pricing & Payment

Rental Fees

  • Calculated by applying a rate based on rental duration to the retail price (tax included)
  • Rate: 33% for 1 day to 99% for 31+ days (longer periods are more economical per day)
  • Rental period is calculated from check-in to check-out date
  • * Prices are rounded to the nearest ¥50

Additional Costs

  • Delivery fee: ¥800 (standard delivery)
  • Same-day delivery fee: ¥2,000 (only for same-day check-in; replaces the standard ¥800 delivery fee)
  • Return shipping: Free (use enclosed return kit)
  • Damage/loss compensation: Compensation amount set per item
  • Internet connection: At customer's expense

Payment Timing

Compensation Policy

In case of loss or damage, the compensation amount set for each item will be charged to your credit card.

  • Compensation amount is displayed on each product page
  • No additional charges for normal returns
  • Compensation is only charged in case of damage or loss

Buyout Option

You can purchase items you like during the rental period by paying the retail price minus the rental fee already paid.

  • Buyout price = Retail price − Paid rental fee
  • No return required after purchase
  • Cancellations or returns are not accepted after purchase
  • Items available for buyout are indicated on each product page

Purchase-Only Items

Certain categories (such as underwear) are sold as purchase-only items for hygiene reasons.

  • All purchase-only items are brand new
  • Priced at retail (sale price), rental fees do not apply
  • Purchase is confirmed when added to trip, no return required
  • Purchase-only items are clearly indicated on each product page

Delivered via courier to the hotel specified by the customer.

Delivery Timing

Generally delivered to your hotel by your check-in date. The required delivery lead time prescribed by the Company varies by destination, and reservations that do not satisfy the required lead time cannot be accepted. Please refer to "Delivery Areas" below for details. Delays may occur due to traffic, weather, or other unavoidable circumstances.

Returns & Cancellations

How to Return Rental Items

Please return items by your check-out date using the enclosed return box and prepaid shipping label. No additional charges will be incurred if items are returned within 7 days after the check-out date.

Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation fees apply for customer-initiated cancellations, based on the booking deadline of the destination region:

* Booking deadlines for each region are listed in the "Delivery Areas" section above. Example: For a hotel in Hokkaido (booking deadline: 7 days before use date), cancellation is available with a full refund up to 8 days before; from 7 days before, no refund will be provided.

* Same-day delivery (Tokyo only, ¥2,000) commences shipping preparation immediately upon order confirmation. Cancellations after order confirmation cannot be accepted.

Refund Calculation

The refund amount is calculated by applying the applicable refund rate to the total payment amount (rental fee + delivery fee). For full refunds, the Company also bears any payment processing fees.

Refund Method

Refunds will be credited to the credit card used for payment. Depending on your card issuer's processing time, the actual refund may take several days to a few weeks after processing.

Returns & Exchanges

Defective Items

Please contact support (support@onelaplace.com) within 24 hours of receiving your items. We will arrange a replacement (subject to availability) or provide a full refund for the affected item.

Customer-Initiated Returns/Exchanges

Due to the nature of the service, customer-initiated returns or exchanges cannot be accepted. However, cancellations may be made according to the cancellation policy above.

Cooling-Off Period

As this service falls under mail-order sales (tsushin hanbai), the cooling-off period under the Specified Commercial Transactions Act does not apply. Cancellations are subject to the cancellation policy above.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

Disputes regarding this service shall be governed by Japanese law, with the Tokyo District Court as the agreed court of first instance. However, where consumer protection laws or other applicable laws provide otherwise for the protection of consumers, such provisions shall prevail.
